Philip Jacobs is a principal in the KPMG Financial Services Tax practice and is Global Head of Insurance Tax. He also leads the KPMG U.S. Insurance Tax practice. Phil has more than 30 years of tax experience with a wide range of tax and finance issues, including the taxation of life insurance, property/casualty insurance, reinsurance, international tax, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures/separations, tax controversy, captive insurers, capital planning, and tax accounting. Prior to joining KPMG, Phil held senior finance and tax roles at GE, AIG, Barclays Bank, and XL Group.
